Making sense of the story is a different matter entirely....
But if you are buying this game just for the story mode (I personally find the story of this game not that good), I would say it would not be worth it. You should look for gameplays of this game and see if you like it.
at least is there any tutorial on this game ? i very new on these kind of figthing game i mostly played smash type game before so when i bought UMvC3 i got my ass kicked by normal bot and got most of my attack blocked and parried lol
It also might be good to find someone who would be willing to show you the ropes, as it were. Give you an idea of what to do, and how to do it.
You just need to find someone who is willing to train you and show how the game works. It is very hard because this game is hanging by a threat and sf6 is out.
I would suggest to look up Bafael's tutorial, I think he does a good job of explaining the basics of the game and look up "bread and butter combos" for whoever you want to play in this game.
(If you are planning to get the game in the first place)
Whether or not you're going to enjoy this game boils down strongly to whether or not this sort of game is fun to you. If you've played other Street Fighter games or fighting games that use similar fighting mechanics and enjoyed it, it's probably worth a purchase. If you're tight for cash, it might go on sale for cheap starting with the upcoming summer sale on the 29th.
However, the story is not the main focus. The real meat is PvP -- but if you're wondering whether there is enough to justify a purchase from a purely single-player perspective, that heavily depends on you more than the game.
If you are willing to make your own fun (without other players), then it would take you quite a few hours to see every character's story and/or complete all of their trials -- which you can consider doing during matchmaking (if you are not opposed to playing against other people).
Conversely, as an old SF4 warhorse from a decade ago, I spent just as much time in the training room or extending the trial system as I did in actual matches. Even after all these years, I still get the urge to re-install SF4 now and then to chill in the training room.
Here's me making my own fun a few months ago with another 'trial mode extension' experiment. Hardly any of it is possible (or even practical) during legitimate matches, but it's a good source of SP fun and a good way to practice execution:

Conversely, one look at YouTube shows that a tonne of old pros still does similar here in 2023, despite SF4 being two games behind and over a decade old. Again, the value of SF4 (as a single-player experience) will greatly depend on you.
However, even if that sounds appealing, I would still recommend waiting for a sale.
but shame on 40th anniversary capcom none of 3D street fighter got any sale lol guess i have to wait and be lucky next fest on 19th june or summer sales on 29th june
If someone has trouble learning this game, they should probably stay away from 2D fighters in general. The Street Fighter series is the standard for the genre. So if you can't cut it here, then you'll have a hard time getting into any game with similar mechanics and gameplay.
