Is Sagat a lame, cheap, crutch character?
Continuing with the trend of character threads, I have noticed that all of Sagat's moves have hitboxes associated with them. This means that a person playing Sagat could theoretically damage an opponent with any move. How lame. Capcom clearly favors this broken character that appeals to noobs and ♥♥♥♥♥lordz.

Feel free to comment below about how broken Sagat is and how real men play your character of choice.

I will go first.

Sagat is incredibly lame, cheap and is a crutch character to boot, as all of his moves have hitboxes. I play a real character for real men like Ryu, who's c.MK has no hitbox associated with it. I also have to shave my chest daily lest I look like a grizzly bear and crush beer cans on my forehead. I also chew nails.

sagat's super cheeep like WTF???? i maen cmon men, tiger shots r so safe liek u can spaam all day and win and 2 hit normals wtf so scrubby capcom shud nerf him more cuz hes still made top 2 in evo and i hat3 ryan hart and bonchan for stickin with these ez mode chars even after all these fake nerfs, real competitive players switch to top tier

I agree with removing the hitboxes, but in researching this travesty I have come across the fact that when playing Sagat one is able to block incoming attacks by holding back. This is completely game breaking; not only can Sagat damage the opponent with his moveset, he is also able to potentially block incoming attacks. This is an unaccptable crutch.

That's it. I'm sick of all this "hit box" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that's going on in Street Fighter right now. Sagat deserves much better than that. Much, much better than that.

I should know what I'm talking about. I myself commissioned a genuine Sagat Edition fight stick in Thailand for 640,000 Bhat (that's about $20,000) and have been practicing with it for almost 2 years now. I can even make 0 frame links with my fight stick.

Thai smiths spend years working on a single fight stick and flail on it up to a million times to produce the finest tiger knees known to mankind.

Sagat's hitboxes are thrice as large as pathetic shoto hit boxes and thrice as damaging for that matter too. Anything Ryu can punch, a Sagat can punch better. I'm pretty sure Sagat could easily KO a full health Ryu with a simple tiger uppercut.

Ever wonder why medieval Japan never bothered conquering Thailand? That's right, they were too scared to fight the disciplined Sagats and their tiger destructions... of destruction. Even in EVO, Japanese tryhards targeted the men with the Sagats first because their KOing power was feared and respected.

So what am I saying? Sagat is simply the best character that the world has ever seen, and thus, requires better hitboxes in Street Fighter. Here are the changes I propose for Sagat:

Far HK hit box extended outwards and upwards by 100%
Far HP hit box extended to the other edge of the screen
Crouch HK hit box extended upwards to allow use as an anti-air, hit box now lingers for 30f after active frames finish
Can now have three tiger shots on the screen at once, all tiger shots reduced to 1f startup and 1f recovery
New target combo: Tiger Knee > Tiger Uppercut
Tiger Knee (all): Second hit is high, deals +50 damage, and causes wall bounce
LP Tiger Uppercut: 1-65 invincible
MP Tiger Uppercut: +120f advantage on block
HP Tiger Uppercut: Now deals 5 hits 120+90+90+90+300
EX Tiger Uppercut: 1-6000f invincible, unblockable, pursuit, projectile hitbox, 20 hits (500 damage each)
Throw Range extended to 5m

Now that seems a lot more representative of the power of Muay Thai in real life, don't you think?

tl;dr = Sagat need to do more everything in Street Fighter, see my new stat block.

The worst thing about Sagat is the fact that he can do as much damage in a 3 hit combo as a character like Ibuki can make in 20 hits. Talk about cheap. Sagat is clearly designed for casuals to play, who want to win the easy way.
