You have to buffer the directional inputs during a different animation, be it jump, dash, a move or blockstun.

This, and yes it is possible with a keyboard. His ultra 2 is also possible, but you really need to be quick.

First get familiar with being able to stand SPD, on stick you can use the 270 motion + strength of the move.

Once you understand how to stand SPD, you will still have to use the move during an animation; but you will lessen the room for error.

Ex. forward dashing and neutral jump + kick instead of U1.
