cant connect ps4 controller

ive tried steam big picture mode ive tried making the game fullscreen ive even gone rooting around in the settings to see if there was a way to connect it but no matter what i do i cant seem to figure out how to connect it

Go to Steam settings and click on the controller tab, after that, go to the general controller settings. After that, a new window will pop up. Just check mark the box that says PlayStation Configuration Support. Make sure your PS4 controller is connected via USB so reduce input delay.

i allready enabled all of that and made sure that it was connected to steam but it still wont connect. and i know that its ssfiv thats the problem here because it works perfectly fine on all other games that support controllers.

Hi I am sort of having this issue with a Mad Catz FightStick TE S+. I stopped DS4Windows that I use to play GamePass games using a regular DualShock 4 as an Xbox controller. Steam says not controllers found in pop up. I was able to get the controller to work in game but square and triangle seem backwards. For example weak punch is the 2nd button not the 1st. The same can be said with light and medium kicks. It's like as though Circle is enter button and x backs out menus. Like a Japanese set up. Not sure if I should remap buttons or that I need to set up my controller for PC. I also just picked up Street fighter V but just trying to get USF4 to work.

I've always had success with programs like Joy2Key. Map out your inputs to what USFV sees as your keyboard bindings and you should be set. Just remember to disable it should you play anything else

Thanks the problem sort of sorted itself out. Leaving DS4Windows running had no issues either. Otherwise you'll know something is up if the blue leds on top aren't on.

as i said it works perfectly fine with everything else its not the cable its the game

So is there a fix yet? I don't want to use a third party software.

My PS4 controller works perfectly fine in big picture mode, but as soon as I start the game only my keyboard gets recognized.

I've tried everything and it's pi**ing me off.

Nope. Even to this day i still cant connect any kind of controller to this one game even though everything else works just fine.
