Possible Issue with Gen's Gekiro?

When using Gen's Gekiro attack, I can only get the full 8 hit combo if I use only the Heavy Kick button for the attack. This prevents me from getting the full 8 hit combo when using EX Gekiro, which is a requirement for completing Gen's 14th Trial. Just wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if this is a problem for anybody else.

you have to time it let ther ebe ilke 2 or 3 sec befor each kick to fast an dyou wont finish it timeing is every thing slow yoru pressing speed down and you will all ways finish it i could also help ya to with gen if ya like as i mastered him

Yeah, I can do it now, that's quite a significant slowdown that's needed. Thanks for the help.
