Yeah, I wish. I feel like 80% of the people playing the game still have under 500 PP.

Well i actually don't want to play competitively right now. I do want to get good but in a way that i'm comfortable with my own skill.

I know that if i go to rankeds or something i'm gonna have my ass handed to me so that's why i wanted a guide so i can learn more about the mechanics of the game and improve on a character i like and then test and improve my skills against other players.

There's a lot of things and timings i stil don't get and i really don't mind playing against the cpu while i learn. I like the game and i just want to improve and play better, i'm not looking to become a USF4 master or anything lol.

And thanks for the advice Saoul, if i ever try to play online i'll do what you said.

One thing about learning against cpu in sf is that many of the main tactics such as conditioning and predictions wont work against a cpu so while you can practice your mechanical skill you wont get better at reading your opponent and such. I personally find it very hard to Zone the cpu cuz they instantly counter my fireballs and punish me right when the animation starts. Basically what im trying to say is sometimes you can only get better by playing real people.

Very simple, get the original SF4 game and learn how to unlock all the locked characters that are available to this game. That way you get to learn all the characters' strengths and weaknesses. So, by mastering your most comfortable character of your choice, you get to know when to do what move to overpower your opponents. Then and, only then can you start using the Super and Ultra moves at the right opportuned moment. You can then skip both Super Editions of the game straight to the Ultra Edition. In the ultra, now you can perform both types of ultra combos(revenge gauge that gets fill up as you get hit during the same round of combat). Learning to use the Ultra gauge is only necessary when the fight is really getting out of hand and, you think you are about to be KOed by your opponent. Obviously, no revenge energies will gather up if you end up winning without a scratch/no damage to your own character's body(Perfect Win). The Ultra gauge(revenge) will automatically drain itself back to 0% at the start of every other round of combat but, not the EX bars of adrenaline(4 full ones will give you the opportunity to make the Super art combo move). An EX bar once filled up will give you the added ability of making a amplifying any of your Special Arts moves(multi hit Hado-Ken or, 1 extra hit for the Sho-Ryu-Ken).
Well, that pretty much covers it up, for now, anyway.
;)
