Also Down Forward x 2 can be done to do a DP instead of the full Forward, Down, Down Forward.
It's strange because in marvel vs capcom 2. I could do a air combo followed by a shinku hadouken. It's strange I can do more complicated combos in marvel vs capcom 2 but not in SF4. argh. this is maddening.
Once you have input your special try to get the stick to forward postion before you start the focus cancel. At this point you can merely let the stick nuetral and tap it forward 1 time. Since you started at forward this makes you dash and counts as forward X2.
I'd honestly practice this at first using only focus. Just walk forward start a focus while holding forward then tapping forward 1 time. once you can get it mastered not only can you use this for getting past defense by using the armor, but allow yourself the most time possible to follow up a fadc attack (in your case ultra). Feel free to update this thread with any results you get and I will help you the best I can :D
