does it work with steam deck? I want a low weight headset to play games/movies on the deck in bed and while traveling.

I think the only thing I'd want to see now is a refresh rate bump. I don't just feel good going down to 90hz from 144hz.

When do we get hand tracking for the Quest 2?

Still not as good as the 110 degree FOV I get with my Odyssey+... an HMD several years old that I paid $299 for. No way I'm paying $1000 for a claustrophobic 102 degrees.

I have a 72 IPD, does that mean I will still have the old hfov of 93 degrees?

After learning about the "Beyond" HUD late last year - i almost immediately upgraded my Rift (2016 pre-order) to our beloved Steam Index. It was long overdue. I added a couple extra sensors to package covering all corners in the "VR space" Iv set aside for gaming. My order shipped w/ record speed.
I Plugged and Played: setup was a snap "All is curry" (steam hardware is the way to go)

REVIEW:
-The Index HUD is way nicer - speakers, lenses, strap-on, - all major improvements from 2016 Oc tech, but it weights in a bit heavier! yucky
-The spinning laser Sensors are WAY nicer - they don't need a USB just a wall outlet! Bravo Bluetooth
-The remotes are innovative w/ the "hands open" strap which are great for a good "rub down" but until VR gloves are out remotes are remotes clunky clumsy, very non immersive gadgets we MUST deal with for now.. sucks, but there is nothing better on the market that i know of (yet). (the rechargeable batteries wear down in aprox. 4 hours

So I was ALL set up for the "Beyond", all except...MY BEYOND!!!!!!
So....... last week i finally ordered my Pre-Ordered super light weight "ready player one" type HUD... WITH optional audio strap AND some prescription lens filters, since i'm an eyeglasses wearer. Total co$t 1200+ tax included - NICE!!
OK lets see now... add that to the index and the Cyber PC w/RTX3070 and XXX RAM to raise to 32gig.. & hmmm.. I'v definitely spent a small fortune on my "VR Hottie Alice"... The only thing i do in vr.. LOL

That's awesome! I was worried about pre-ordering almost a year ahead of the estimated release. With technology making such rapid improvements, I was afraid this would already be outdated by the time it shipped. I'm glad to see they're continuing to make improvements, supposedly without delaying the release
