Watching desktop in 4k

I've realised that even if I download movies in 4k from Amazon Prime, I can only watch them in Bigscreen using my "View desktop" function. Oh well. At the moment my desktop resolution is restricted to 2560 x 1140 by my desktop settings (monitor resolution).
If I splash out on a new monitor with 4k, and set my desktop resolution to that, will Bigscreen let me watch 4K movies via my VivePro2?

To clearly see 4k you need much more than 4K per eye and/or good lens. Not mentioning the funny fact that main feature of 32" 4K monitor is pixel "invisibility" and setting non-native resolutions - like 16:10 1920x1200 looks fine - just blak stripes on the sides...
"are you really willing to see nasty skin details of pr0n actors? It can be ugly!" - some discussion years ago about hi-res in that kind of movies :)
