Adult Swim channels
So why did these ignorant fools think it’d be smart to add all those Adult Swim channels only for them to be region locked to the USA? Did they not realize how discriminatory that is or did they just not care whatsoever?

That's just how licensing deals work. Nothing new here. You'll find the same region restrictions on Netflix, Prime, or any other streaming service. Blame adult swim, not Bigscreen.

Don’t these guys read the contracts before signing them? Pretty sure they could’ve raised a finger when they noticed this primitive region lock. Just because it’s nothing new doesn’t mean it’s acceptable in any way.
Its not up to them. Its either settle for distribution in the US or get nothing at all. Adult Swim made a deal with another streaming platform or media company in your country before Bigscreen to distribute their content to viewers there and as part of that deal they are not allowed to authorize distribution to competing platforms and services in your region for the duration of the license agreement. This is standard to add assurance that said platform will get a return on their investment because viewers have to go through their service to watch the content that they are buying distribution rights for.

The response of the mentally handicapped.
licensing laws and all that stuff vary country to country. adult swim is under a much larger corporation. as always it's just red tape and fine print. mainly in regards to money sharing or term lengths. nature of the business.

just have to wait it out. you can't reasonably ask them to not show the content in the us, solely on the grounds that a few other countries can't have it. we miss things here in the us as well due to these things. just how it works.

So what kept them from giving the rest of the world it’s own exclusive channel? If they want to discriminate so badly might as well go all in.
