You can move your personal monitor by pointing at it with your controller and using the grip buttons to 'grab' it and then reposition it where you want. You can also use the sliders under the Desktop section (or Remote Desktop if you are using that) to adjust things like distance, size, and curvature.
If you're referring to the big screen, those cannot be moved in the rooms, but the personal monitor is resizable and moveable.
Try restarting Bigscreen. If it still happens, make sure you aren't pointing at the menu when you try to turn, since the touchpad or thumbstick is used to scroll the menu in those cases.
