Yes, I know I put it in ou mode because my video is in over-under mode (seen from my pc, it works). But when I go to bigscreen, it doesn't detect it as a 3d movie, even if I use the ou, sbs or 2d mode. Why doesn't bigscreen detect the movie as a 3d movie?
Yes, I hope that develelopers fix this error.
Thanks.
Edit: Interesting though... Virtual desktop does this ... time to start using that.
too bad that one is not as good with the theatre feel.
I've inspected the differences on the files, and I've seen that the ones that have the 3D flag correctly set on the MKV header (marking the video track as SBS or OU), are played as 2D files, so when 3D mode is enabled on bigscreen, the result is broken.
MKV files that don't have this flag set, shows both images when played, so 3D mode can be enabled.
I think that Bigscreen could ignore the 3D flag on MKV's and play them always "as is".
Where can i find this parameter in metadata? Which is her name in mkv metadadta?
Thank you for you response
I don't know where exactly is stored this flag on the MKV header. However, the setting is visible on MKVToolnixGUI. On "Video properties", the "Stereoscopy" setting. All videos that don't have this parameter set, play OK in 3D on BigScreen. But those that have this parameter set, they play only in 2D.
:(
Plays 3d fine on my plasma TV, but not my brothers projector, and not in bigscreen. Some files play fine, others don't, and I have no idea what the difference is....it SEEMED to be that header setting but again, removing it made no difference.
It is interesting that with the quest 2 app version I can watch my movies via DLNA with 3d SBS at mkv AND mp4 format
I solved the problem by converting the mkv files to mp4.
you can do this free with the software "Handbrake"
now I can watch my movies with quest 2 and pc
hope this helps
