How to play non-VR Steam games in Bigscreen, not Steam Theater Mode
When trying to play non-VR Steam games, Steam will automatically close Bigscreen open in the Steam Theater.

If you want to play non-VR Steam games in Bigscreen, here's what you can do:

I just wanted to drop by and thank you for creating this amazing application. I just go about it Solo, put in my dvd/bluray, then sit back and watch my anime in awe of this stunning, free game.

The environments/locales are stunning, love how many you've ended up adding.. Just got VR a few days ago now, and this has been one of my favorite experiences with it. In fact, one of the main reasons why I got VR was to experience this game.
Bless you, kind developer.

yep
Don't know if this is still true, but last year when I first tried using Bigscreen for playing flat screen games on a movie theater screen, the input lag was quite noticeable. As such, I wouldn't recommend using Bigscreen for this purpose.

It's a decent video platform, and movie rentals are priced roughly on par with going out to see a matinee at a brick-n-mortar theater. But my experience was that the remote desktop feature wasn't worth using as a gamer.

Yup, not sure if it can be fixed as it is still an issue for me, running Citra the 3ds emulator works perfectly but only with some games--Star Wars battlefront II (2017) for steam doesn't run well at all and glitches out the entire big screen app, so does fortnite. That is all i want to play viewing the screen through VR headset instead of computer monitor.

Still looking for a way to play non VR steam games who knows.

Because i enjoy the 3ds emulator so much and because Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask 3D works so perfectly, i recommend Bigscreen but really for testing games as a few will definitely work and specifically for 3DS games with true 3D visuals

just joining a big screen lobby could allow an attacker to "infect" your Bigscreen instance. From there, they could join your private room, see everything you see, see your desktop, turn on your mic, and even install malicious programs with no interaction from you (and more).
