Bigscreen for oculus go laggy as heck
I love the idea of using my vr headset as a virtual desktop to play regular games on a big screen! I can get it to connect without a problem, but it is "nplayeably" laggy. Same issue with movies or anything. Moving the mouse feels like it's on a 1 full second delay. I don't have anything demanding any CPU power (it keeps steady at maybe 40%. Anyone know of a fix or something that can get it so I can use this feature?
Also, how can I use the pointer as a mouse...that would be cool with something like Bloons (which I play a lot). Thanks for the help folks!

Are you using oculus go, gear or rift? if rift im not sure lol. for the go and gear, i noticed multiplier mode(to connect the go and gear) is still too laggy due to the way they capture the desktop. these fixes helped a little on my system.
setting priority to normal on the bigscreen process on task manger.
using a Ethernet or router literary next to the computer and your portable oculus.(i use a phone hotspot on my desktop, which seems to improve the speed alot.
Make sure your gpu is encoding the desktop and not the cpu. if your gpu supports shadow play or the AMD equivalent, you should be fine, as long as it isn't too old.
Run at lower resolution to improve speed.
disable Microsoft gameplay screen capture and any other screen capture as it might be using your gpu encoding at the same time as bigscreen.

Same here. Well using Oculus Go every video I see on the screen while using Bigscreen has then completely unwatchable. I have a rift pc right next to the wi-fi, set desktop resolution to 1280x720. Still looks all pixelated and giant grey blocks. Looks like about one or two frames per second. Just started playing around with this though. I noticed that I I'm only able to select 59 or 60 frames per second (60Hz) in the Nvidia control panel. Going to try a program called refresh lock and set the desktop to 720p at 24Hz and see if that helps. Can anybody tell me how to verify that the GPU is doing the encoding of the desktop and not the CPU? If anybody has had any success using bigscreen on the Go or gear VR any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
Go version is horrible atm can't recommend playing even at 720p it is lagging, unresponsive, crashes frequently, and looks like poo
