How Do I Control My Desktop In VR Remote Desktop

You can control your desktop in the same ways you normally would. If you are far from your PC, I would recommend something like a wireless keyboard or mouse.

Input streaming isn't something that's supported on remote desktop currently, but is planned for the future.

so theres a remote desktop feature... where you cant interact with the desktop? what?

It's so you can remotely view your desktop and use it to do things like watch movies, or do things like play games with a controller connected to the PC.

looking online, this has been a missing feature for quite literally years. surely itd be up near top priority to fix

Virtual Desktop has had this for a long time. You can sit away from your PC, stream it to your Quest and use the lasers from your Touch controllers to point at icons and select them, probably like everybody who has ever created on of these threads expected you could in Bigscreen. Bigscreen is fantastic but this is very much missing (along with being able to watch most films in Great Britain).
