Audio feedback loop when joining my friend's room
This only happens when we join each other's rooms and never at any other time. It's starting to get infuriating. One of us joins, and then the audio just loops itself endlessly. We've tried changing so many audio settings in SteamVR, Windows, Biscreen, etc, and we can't seem to get it to work.

Any tips?

Do you have anything anywhere turned on that says audio mirroring? Turn that stuff off. Also do not set your audio device in Windows or SteamVR to Bigscreen's audio stream device, set it only to the HMD/headphones that you are actually using (where you actually want the sound to come out). Do not select a set of speakers that can feedback into your microphone, select HMD/headphones. If the Host of the room is planning to play stuff on the big screen that the guest will listen to, the Host needs to install the Bigscreen audio driver by clicking the button in the app. There *are* a lot of settings but they have it pretty automated now so there is not that much you have to do manually. You may be doing too much. You did not state what VR you both have. I have a Vive so it may be slightly different from yours. It doesn't hurt to ask people in Bigscreen, in the lobby or a chat room. If that doesn't work, their Discord[discord.gg] is also a great source of support.

Thanks, we got it all figured out about a while after I made this. We were both using WMR headsets (Odyssey+). The guide in the community hub only had information for Oculus and SteamVR. For anyone with this issue in the future using WMR, you can fix this by going to the Mixed Reality Portal and then doing this:

See More (or the triple dots button if "See More" doesn't show up) > Settings > Audio and speech > turn off "When Mixed Reality Portal is running, mirror headset audio to desktop"
