problem: 30 fps max everywhere
The first time I noticed is when my mouse pointer movement wasn't smooth, then 60 fps sports videos, Then I tried Virtual Desktop and got steady 60fps. Is this a feature? Honestly I don't wanna use VD, its virtual environments are awful. Win 10, i5, gt1060, HMD Odyssey.

I think you are confusing FPS over input lag. It takes a little for the headset to register.

This is not latency, it is a bad framerate

I'm now getting this issue, was fine last week. Everything running through the virtual screen is 30fps exactly while my GPU and CPU is at what 30%?

We're aware of this issue happening for some people. Your local display should be 60fps, but for some people it's appearing to be 30fps. We haven't had time to do a really deep dive into this issue yet and track down the exact problem, but it's on our list of bugs to fix.

Same problem here. I used to use "smooth video project" and watch my 3d movies at 48fps. now it looks like crap. using whirligig for movies now. It plays my movies smooth. not sure if it helps but I have 3 monitors. until this fps is increased back like it was before that mobile update, no sense using this software.

We really should be able to use NVENC to capture frames and get at least 1080p60. This 30 fps stuff sucks.

This was a bug affecting some users. It's fixed in the next update due to launch by the end of the week

Now working roomba 90fps at Home Environment.
but my desktop screen is 30fps,mouse pointer, movie file, and youtube:using firefox or chrome.
GameAssembly.dll is updated on 7/13,I have the latest version I guess.

Yeah it's the desktop screen capture FPS that makes this really ugly. It should capture at desktop refresh rate. I can feel the choppiness and input lag.
Peregrine  [developer] Jul 15, 2019 @ 2:50pm
This should have been fixed in the latest update, though you will only see greater than 30 fps when watching a local stream. If you are using Remote Desktop, then you will still only be seeing 30 fps.

If you're using a PC headset, and are still seeing this issues, can you let me know what headset you are using and what your CPU and graphics card are?

I have a Valve Index running at 144hz and my desktop monitor is 144hz. Even when I'm alone in my own room, the screen capture feels really choppy. If it's capturing at 60 fps, I bet it's because 1) 60 is awful compared to 144 and 2) 60 doesn't divide evenly into 144 making it judder constantly. Would really prefer an option for arbitrary screen capture framerate control.

headset:HTC VIVE no pro,
CPU:intel® Core™ i7-4770K Processor 3.5GHz
Graphics card:NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070

I watched frame timing graph when running Bigscreen and youtube on full screen mode,CPU graph keep under 4ms,GPU graph keep under 8ms.

I'm having this same issue where my Laptop display is 1080p @ 144Hz but Bigscreen is showing 30fps max. I used the Void environment and went to the UFO test website to check the frame rates as well as playing some YouTube 1080p60 videos. My laptop is Walmart's Overpowered 15+ LP2:
- Headset: Samsung Odyssey+ (Windows Mixed Reality)
- Core i7 8750H
- Nvidia GTX 1060 (6GB)
- 1x16GB RAM
