Watching a movie that requires DHCP?
I have an extensive VUDU library, with lots of HDX movies. I can watch the movies in SD, but if I want to play them in HDX, it requires HDCP. Is this possible? or should I just settle for SD. I know I can't really get HD with the Rift headset, I'm just curious if there's any difference in viewing quality. Thanks for any help.

I'm not sure, but perhaps not? I think DRM in video players that have HDCP may prevent our screen capture from displaying the screen in VR

SD quality is pretty good enough for VR due to the low resolution of the headsets. It's totally fine for movies.

However, there is a subtle and noticeable difference, especially for fine detail and definitely for text.

Can you try it and let me know if it works?

So I actually was able to watch an hdx movie last night (Jason Bourne). Not sure what happened, I think my displays were set to mirror and I didn't realize it. (Monitor and projector, projector was just turned off but still registering as mirrored display)

And it did appear to have slightly better viewing quality in hdx.
