Room lighting too bright
Can you please add a way to turn down the lighting in each room? I love the dynamic lighting but I would love to be in the cinema with all the non-dynamic lighting turned off and a way to make the dynamic lighting much more subtle. I find the room's lighting a bit distracting right now whether dynamic lighting is on or off.
Apart from that, I love the app.

Hi!

Our environment artist had some issues getting the lighting to look good if it was completely dark/black without lights on. We'll be revisiting this soon in our new cinema environment (which is MUCH larger) and will hopefully be even darker!

Second issue is that we can't turn down the lighting within the app because the lighting/textures are baked in and fixed. To make it dynamic will be computationally more expensive to do in realtime on the GPU.

TL;DR stay tuned, future environments will be much darker

Thanks for the reply - even if the lighting is baked in, would it not be possible to reduce the gamma of the environment, effectively making it darker, or would this also reduce the brightness of the screen due to the engine it is using?

You're correct, it would also reduce the brightness of the screen and make everything look weird.

We have plans of changing that in the future though, with new rendering techniques.

Cool - I really look forward to this because I enjoy Bigscreen and love the dynamic lighting but usually end up just switching the environment off altogether when I want to watch a film that I really want to get into because I find the current lighting far too distracting. The main cinema view feels like a cinema before they turn the lights down, rather than after. :/
