How to use Bigscreen beta

i have no idea how to pull up my desktop in vr, it had no tutorial and i havent found any forum or video that shows how to use it. It just put me in a room expecting me to know what to do

I think you click the menu button on the left controller to pull up a menu. Then you want to create a screen, make it a private screen at first, choose an environment.

OK, I guess you don't even really need to use the Vive controllers, that time I just use mouse & keyboard. I start in my Steam Library, the choose Bigscreen betam then click Run in VR, then I choose start in Vive mode since I have Vive. After it finds the headset and bases it puts a portrait style window on my desktop that shows public rooms that are available. I click the button and the bottom to Create Room, the leave the name etc at the default, who cares, make sure Provate is checked and then click Create Room. Then I go on the left and do modify screen, position it. make it more distant and larger and I usually choose Environment the Void or out in space somewhere but that's just me. At this point I can still see my desktop in the headset and on my real monitor. Then I just go in a folder with some video content and open a video file. I just double click and let it do the default app, which in this case ends up going to a Bigscreen media player. The the video starts playing and I click the FullScreen control in the corner. That's about it. Clicking it to get out of full screen mode brings the menu back so I can mess with more adjustments.
