It must be Off the record dlc or cooperative mode.
Off the record is not a canon. Thats an alternative story line for the same DR2 plot with minor differences for Frank in the role as main protagonist.

Canonically Chuck only interacting with some new characters in DR3.

Case west is canon making dead rising 2 the only game where ending A is canon.
