DR2 Controller fix (Easy Method) No 3rd Party application needed.

Note! This only works with Xbox 360 (Wired) controllers.
Note! This Method also works with Dead Rising 2: Off The Record.
Note! Will not work with Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PS4/PS5 Controllers.
Update! Still Working as of February 11th 2023.

1. Plug in your Controller to your PC.
2. Go to Steam Big Picture mode.
3. Go to Dead Rising 2 Manage game
4. Click on controller options and change it to Forced off.
5. Start Dead Rising 2 and enable Controller mode as it should no longer be greyed out.

Sorry for the late response! But it don't work with Xbox One Controllers now. Only Wired Xbox 360 Controller.

it works just fine now. If you are using a Wireless Xbox one or Xbox Series X/S controller it won't work. Try using a Wired Xbox 360 Controller! It should work just fine with that.
