(Bug)game stuck at starting logo

as i open the game,lt stuck at Klei logo.Game still running but do nothing.uninstall don't help.restart computer too.

Sometimes since the new update I can't even get the game to load. other times it can get to the menu but get stuck in opening a game

It may perhaps be due to you not having set a timezone. I had that problem in a beta and I presume that this (silly) check was introduced in a new Unity Version rather than being part of the Beta debug tools (which merely might visible note the error) but I may be wrong since my timezone was only reset (due to windows reinstall) after the Cosmic Beta.

If you click the time and date on your desktop you can select a timezone. I hope this helps.

You're welcome. Now I can at least be somewhat glad that I had to reinstall my Windows OS (it was a PITA, all 'em updates...) since the HDD did not want to stay connected for long. Well, this made me go back to using my SSD for much better boot and start times but anyway...

that "bug" must be quite mean if it indeed does not show the error if the log is not enabled/one is not in the Beta. It's only because the error was obviously saying something.somethingTimezone that I could fix it (silly me still did reinstall first, twice, to purge my mods).

I went onto another form that said to delete a file called "kplayerprefs.yaml" into
"documents/Klei/OxygenNotIncluded" it has worked for me and I'm sure it'll help y'all out too

Have you searched the forum? There are a few things to try, some work for some and not others and vice-versa. There are a bunch of posts with suggestions on things to try.

Everyone with Windows has a My Documents folder. If you press Windows Key + R on your keyboard, then enter "%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Klei\OxygenNotIncluded" and click OK, that should get you to the folder Fox is referring to.

Thank you for posting that!! This problem was driving me nuts (on BOTH of my PC's), and your solution worked for ME, too! I use a file sync program called SugarSync to sync my documents between computers, and since Klei is storing data files in My Documents (which IS synced by default) instead of AppData (where MOST programs store their data files, and which is NOT synced by default), it looks like my sync program did something to the file to make ONI "angry". :) Deleting it reset my prefs, but also solved the problem.

Really glad you got it working, enjoy!! And yeah, deleting a file that literally has player prefs in it's name will certainly wipe out your prefs :P

It does not work for me but I found the "document" is inside my "Onedrive" file.
Here is my way to find the document:
1. Open C:/Users/[Your user name]/AppData/LocalLow/Klei/Oxygen Not Included/output_log.txt
2. Find "Save path" and follow the link behind. (It lead me to OneDrive and the "document" and a "OxygenNotIncluded" file is inside.)
3. You should see "kplayerprefs.yaml"
