Dupes refuse to store bleach stone

I don’t know if this is a bug or what, but my dupes are refusing to sweep these two specific pieces of bleach stone, even when I put the errands on yellow alert. They’re walking right past them to do other things. I have two storage bins that allow it and everyone can navigate to both the bleach stone and the bins. They actually picked the stone up from its original location (the first time I told them to sweep it, before I put it on yellow alert), carried it a few tiles, dropped it to go catch a breath or something, and now they just won’t touch it.

I ended up having to wall the pieces off so my ice biome wouldn’t fill up with chlorine. This is driving me nuts. Anyone know what might be going on?

i have two storage bins that allow it, one underwater and one with the rest of my storage that I temporarily allowed bleach stone in in case the water was somehow the problem. Neither bin was full.

And they have pathing from the bleach stone to the storage? Might be a rare bug where dupes ignore certain things; have had it happen to hydro farms before. Hopefully a reload of the game and save fixes but if not guess you have to wait for it to decompose or hope full release fixes it.

yeah, they all have pathing. i guess it must be that bug. a reload didn’t fix it, so i guess i just have a couple little chlorine boxes in my ice biome forever now :P oh well!

picking up the stone is a 'tidy' errand and putting it into the bin is a 'storage' errand

This. The yellow priority is only a sub priority; if you have the stone sweep set to yellow but all your dupes have tidy or storage as '-' then it's really only priority 10.

Setting a dupe to two up arrows for tidy or storage bumps it up to priority 20 + 10.

Oh yeah, I did also set everyone's tidy priority to ^, forgot to mention that. And I told them to sweep a random piece of dirt on yellow alert as a test and they did that just fine.

Later when I'm not relying on wild sleet wheat anymore, I'll open up the boxes and see if they can get it then.

I know this is pretty old. But I ran into the same bug today. I had a storage assigned to bleach stone. But when I deconstructed that the game did not like that. The only workarround was to load an old save and remove the bleach stone assignment before deconstructing the storage.
