Coal Generator bug?

I've logged over 900 hours into ONI, so i'm not quite sure what's up. My dupes no longer pick up goal to put into coal generators. They have the animation of picking up the coal but instantly drop it. They will deliver to a storage bin next to the generator and occasionally then the dupe will deliver the coal to the generator. My priorities are set correctly; i've tried setting up a dupe to only prioritize supply and X out all others and supply generator simply will not appear on their priority list. It's messed up my current run and i'd like to know what's up. Thanks!

assume you have smart battery connected, could the settings on the smart battery be interfering? ie* if the smart battery disables the coal generator can coal be delivered to it? or maybe the 'refill coal generator at x% battery full setting' on the coal generator is conflicting with the smart battery setting. Just a guess anyway..

Yeah the smart battery is connected to it and the settings are fine; the thing is that it WAS working and then after a reload they all stopped working. They are even on two seprate circuits.

So it's not just that play through. All my saves the dupes don't consistently deliver coal to coal generators anymore; Even on emergency priority. It doesn't even appear on their to-do list. Ever. Even if all they are only set to supply and coal is sitting right next to the generator. This sucks because now the whole game is not playable.

Try creating a new coal generator with no automation and no batteries, hook it via a fresh power grid to one consumer. With default personal priorities and make sure the generator has a higher priority than the storage where you put coal.

Use coal with smart (pushmi-pullyu scheme), all work as intented (dups no load disable (any way) generator only working, it normal).

@Gunhaver, try rebuild generator (or better build new (reserve), deconstruct old, some wait and build anothed instead old). Perhaps it some internal error in generator storage checking (QoL v3 full internal error).

In general dupes don't really like delivering coal to generators if the grid already has sufficient power to satisfy all the consumers and also seem to like to tread the line and wait for the last moment when batteries are low. Not sure if you're referring to that or something else. But it's ok most of the time besides the occasional accident - kinda like their weird habbit of getting stuck while building.

@KucheLizma you were right! thanks for the suggestion. I made an independent generator that worked, so I then disconnected the 8 natural gas generators from the smart battery. The dupes started to deliver coal to them right away. THANKS!

I dislike this though as I was hoping the constant use of coal would slow down the use of the natural gas generators, so I don't get stuck without natural gas during dormant times. The way it's programmed doesn't let me have that choice. Really dupes shouldn't get to refuse my bidding and not be able to deliver resources because they "feel" it's not necessary.
