Wire bridge can't cross heavy watt wire.
That is extremely annoying, since it means you can't build transformers on the other side of the heavy watt wire, "outside" of the colony.

Yep discovered this too. Makes it almost impossible to set up a single large power grid with transformers.

Yes, maybe a bug.
You just cannot let heavy watt wire cross heavy watt wire.
But if you don't want this, in this version, the correct action is to build heavy watt wire WITH wire bridge, and let normal wire cross this bridge.
And if you do this, the bridge will be easily broken if the low watt network overloads.
Yes I mean the bridge that connects heavy watt wire, it has no connection with the low watt network at all, the low watt wire just cross it...Why is it broken...
I think it's a complicated bug, but related to this one.
(although it's not important because you should avoid overload).

I ended up simply building my heavy watt wire bus on the far left of the colony. Guess I'm not expanding in that direction...

I'd like to know if this is a bug or a feature. It's killed my interest in expanding my biggest base (which is fine, I'm sure I'll be back), but it's a pretty big issue. I would be nice to know if I need to adapt my building strategy or just wait for a bug fix.

In case anyone is still wondering about or struggling with this issue, I posted a workaround and a few other related tips here:
http://forums.kleientertainment.com/topic/80433-wire-bridge-overload-workaround-heavi-watt-through-walls/

TL;DR - put the Wire Bridges on the Heavi-Watt circuits, and this also lets you pass Heavi-Watt through tiles.

I don't think Wire Bridge can hold the same amount of power as Heavy-Watt Wire does. It's equivalent to regular wire.

Not true. I have roughly 30 Wire Bridges bridging Heavy Wire over normal. No overloads and works just fine. Not convinced? I have 6 NatGas Generators connected over 1 heavy wire and 2 wire bridges with the outside (3 tile wall).

In the beginning I had problems crossing normal wires over heavy wire with bridges but since I switched no more problems.

Odd, back when I tried to do a similar thing Wire Bridges were burning like matches. Maybe they changed it.

If you look in the thread I linked above, you'll see there's further comments about Wire Bridges always being affected first in overload states. You might have had similar situations like I probably did, where you had a spot on your heavy circuit that still had standard wire, causing the whole circuit (but the wire bridge first) to overload. Or they could have changed things too - I don't know.
