Multiplayer!!
I'm sure this has been mentioned 100x, but a multiplayer DLC would be amazing!

and how exactly do you envision this multiplay working. Management/colony games tend not to be very multiplayer freindly unless specifcly built for it at the start. So if they did do it it might have to be a whole new game (like they did with Don't Starve)
Both people can build, issue orders, etc... The dupes do their best to fulfill the orders. If chaos ensues well... it is ONI and chaos is kinda the point most of the time.
Os playes poderiam descer no mesmo meteoro, repartindo recursos mas cada um com sua civilização.
Multiplayer would work if each person had control of one dupe, but in this case you would spend all of your time waiting or fighting for the dupes to carry out your tasks. I spend so much time just waiting for my dupes to complete my tasks in the game, as it is now.

People also have completely different visions on how to build their bases as well. I think it would just be a constant fight over design and control of the dupes.
Set up a persistent server and just let people play one dupe when they log in. would be fun to play with friends maybe. Change the printer pod to only release items and just try to do it all your selves.
I think for a really working multiplayer we would actually need spaced out as a requirement and then change the starmap so it would have mutliple starting asteroids.
And then it would actually need a bit of an anno-like mechanism where we can set up trades. Maybe an orbital trading post or something like that.
The idea would be: define a trade with offer and demand, maybe a ratio. Like.... "graphite for niobium" or something like that.

Considering how lengthy the game can be, this would also need an option for async multiplayer. That means: The trades could also be done while one player is not online, as long as the trading post has the offered material in stock (the player would need to be online to refill that).

With a starmap propery set up this could mean production chains are split among the players and they need to work together.

But surely not a "everyone can issue any order on any asteroid". That would be annoying.
Recurso poderiam ser divididos, um bau especifico, um que possa compartilhar recursos e comida, acho que simples assim, ja daria para repartir as coisas.
I've discussed how to do Multiplayer on this with my wife and others quite a bit. The best way is as Kaisha suggested. You each just issue orders into the queue and Dupes do their best. It's up to the players to not overload the poor little dupes' minds with too many tasks at once!

Honestly, I think that would be the easiest way to do MP while still keeping the game essence intact. Currently my wife and I play ONI "Community Solitaire" style with Discord. We both use the same seed and we share our games via Discord so we can see what the each other are doing. She usually sets up her base while I'm off digging for resources. If we could both play the same game, it would work well because I'd have one digger dupe that would be responding to my orders while she'd be focused on the base setup.

Both players can adjust gamespeed, schedules, research goals, and all that. Pause both games for cutscenes and discoveries. If you get into a switching war, then so be it. The host can kick the other player(s). Let the players work out how to manage their colony, [if they can't work together] then it fails.

I don't know that it should be a DLC, or at least not the FOCUS of a DLC because it's really just a MINOR gameplay tweak this style and I doubt it would be a big marketing draw, but it would really allow me to enjoy it more being able to play with friends. If they get bored and don't come back, it's no big deal because there's no real change to the game, it's just adding orders and such.

Anyway, that's my (much more than) 2 cents!
