Flox are far too weak in their wood output
Flox are far too inconsequential to the wood needs of the new DLC. Even with 16 flox constantly getting sheared for wood, they can barely keep up with the demands of 2 wood heaters and 2 wood power generators. It's crazy how little they can support a colony.

Why do you use wood for power??
It has always been the worst option, especially considering you have tons of ethanol at your disposal ... :meepwow:
I'm more than a year into my game and still have like half of the starting 20t tons of wood in the cradle :steamhappy:

The pools of ethanol burn away really fast if you actually put them to use. The new seals that make ethanol only make trickling quantities at best.

Flox make wood 100 g/s
Seal 67g/s of ethanol minus all that you user to power the lamps

Using wood to make ethanol = heating the map and make Flox to create 50g/s of ethanol minus all to power setup.

I'm not even starting to write about other ♥♥♥♥. All new stuff has huge imbalance and needs to be tweaked a lot.

Only thing that works is Alveo Vera and it still have 2 cycles to grow, which takes ALL time of farmer.

Only way to make power Midgame I see is to use Electrolyzers to get Hydrogen and burn all water you have from all Geyzers and Vents. Which eliminates need of only "working" stuff from DLC - Alveo Veras.

Making slave dups to run manual generator is the way.

Alveo Vera's biggest issue is the harvesting situation. When they're ready to harvest, they stop eating carbon dioxide entirely and then you need to rapidly micromanage them to harvest and instantly move the oxylite somewhere safe (e.g. to the sconces) as otherwise you'll have oxygen all over your Carbon-dioxide plants and they have issues growing for 5minutes.

Lol .. I was playing the "Lab" version for some reason. And yes, there are plenty of puddles of ethanol around. Maybe I was just fortunate? :steammocking:
