Optimise the search function!!!

The old resources tab, if anyone pre-DLC remembers was smooth and didn't lag anything, but it was also awfully simplistic with no resource icons.

Today, this has been separated into two entire sections, there is the resources tab and the resources popup menu. Not only do I think this was a mistake, much like the way diagnostics are done, but the latter, which is the popup menu lags the game to hell. To see resources I want to display, whenever I open it or while I am searching through resources, it freezes the game completely for a split second. Every single time. That split second is frustrating even when I pause the game to do this. Even more frustrating is that whenever I type in the search bar even a single character it will also do this. Everything I just pointed out is also true for the research tree and the building search. This will happen until there isn't much objects to filter through. I cannot believe how incompetently done this is.

For optimisation's sake and smoother experience sake especially, what you should have done is allow someone to put in the letters and NOT have search algorithm activate until a search button has been pressed because of how noticeable the stuttering it causes otherwise is. This is like if search engines and video platforms did full site/video search and tried to display every single result WHILE you are typing (instead of when you press the search button) AND not even put this search function on a different computational thread than the rest of the browser function. You would not get to type the second letter/number before your browser would completely freeze up because of how huge a database you're trying to display in a single frame!

While talking about the resources tab specifically, there is a categorisation mod, which while sub-par is better for keeping tabs on specific types of resources at any given time so I don't have to constantly filter through the resources tab. That said, this is a mod that I'm relying on anyway, you should have had this right from the start!
