Method to move or remove neutronium
It is really annoying to have neutronium on the sides that just seeps into the asteroid. I am in a world where I even have a geode with neutronium in the middle. It would be cool to take use of it, except there's just no way to take use of it. I get that neutronium is supposed to be a barrier, and lore-wise it makes sense to be left the way it is. But often it just gets in the way of building for no reason, to a point where you wish that the game was just a single layer of neutronium around the borders of the map and that's it. Would be nice if as you're doing things on the asteroid, you find a way to actually utilise neutronium in some form, instead of it just being a barrier.

no use/way to sweep currently but can get out of way. if the 10tons of debris bother you deconstruct floor let it fall to bottom of map rebuild
Yes, but of course I'm talking about being able to do this without the need of any code change or cheats. Same goes for POI props, for which messages can be automatically added on deconstruction. And of course, not making any item in the game be made out of neutronium, that doesn't even make sense in the game as is.

poi items can be melted and some parts of the neutronium wall and any neutronium in the middle of a map can be removed with rockets.

You don't need any mod to have the part of the rocket engine that sticks out dig it. If you want to be able to launch a rocket that is obstructed you need a mod though, or revert to an older game version.

Melting POI props is incredibly annoying, especially the stuff that's made out of steel. But wait, rockets can be used to remove the stuff made of neutronium? I thought that was just not a thing anymore? Does that include neutronium on the edges?

Yeah, so they won't launch, so it's still a problem without mods and they even removed tha bility to chip it off at the edges, real shame that.

ok the title says move or remove but the comment seems to wanting/searching for a use for it not to remove it.

so you want something that doesn't currently happen to happen something currently not diggable/moveable to be diggable/moveable-- but not if you have to change the code...well changing the code is how you make things happen that currently don't.

if you posted this thinking a game dev would read this and change neutroniums default/vanilla coding you are incorrect. if you want your game to change your going to have to Change it.
No, just getting rid of it really; move it or remove it. Having a use would be cool, like duplicants finally finding out how to handle neutronium, there are implications with stuff like AETN that a suitable solution has been found, and it would be interesting to progress to a point where you can use neutronium or something, but no, it isn't the point of this suggestion.

That would mean they changed it with the automation patch, because I did it very recently. Are you sure your command module wasn't obstructed?

Wait, so as of the current version of the game, are you saying that if a rocket is obstructed by neutronium, the rocket can still launch and destroy the neutronium it hits on the edges as it launches?

Only the engine can/could be obstructed, not the command capsule.

Will it destroy the neutronium tiles it passes through though, or just pass by?
Hedning Apr 6, 2020 @ 1:07am
It will destroy it as if it was dug as it will any other tiles in the path too, and then the debris will sit on the tile where it lands forever because it still isn't available in storage compactors.

We clearly need dynamite in the game!
