So select the initial schedule based on traits the dups have if I understand right. The difficulty comes when dup could be assigned to multiple schedules, but that could be solved by assigning based on order of traits and schedules, so dup gets assigned to the first schedule of the first trait that has a schedule. It would be nice then if we can rearrange the order of traits...

That is almost a non-problem. Make three schedules (early/normal/night) and assign the duplicant as soon as you print them. (so only non-assigned duplicants are in the default schedule, for easy tracking) That's the player job after all. But adding "priority options" to the schedule based on those traits would be good indeed.

-All
(put any new duplicant here by default)

-prioritize X trait
for exemple:
-Early bird
(prioritize duplicants with this traits here instead of "all")
-Night owl
(prioritize duplicants with this traits here instead of "all")

-prioritize X interest
(that would be useful, for exemple making the minners work first, then builders getting on work without having to wait too much. Lots of smart combinations, like farmer and cook, or early material deliveries can be done this way)

You still have to create them, but at least this part would be automated. Auto-assignment would probably go to the highest of each schedule type on the list, so there's still management to do unless using only one per trait.

Another thing conserning traits would be "forbid use by X trait" option on doors, so you don't have to set every each of them again, each time a new duplicant arrives. Especially useful for destructive on power zones, and for vomiters contaminating clean water early on...
