Turning CO2 into concrete for raw building material - Here's how!
Who remembers that test in Biology class where you measured the breathing rate of plants based on air pressure in a test tube inverted in a pan of water, usually using pea seeds? The reason that worked was because the CO2 the seeds emitted as waste got sucked up by the calcium hydroxide powder at the "top" of the tube, which then became solid calcium carbonate. You know what another word for that is? Limestone. And what's used to make cement, which is then used to make concrete? Limestone.

Imagine if you will, a "Calcifier" machine that uses piped-in CO2 gas and water, using the CO2 to make cement, and then mixing that with some low-grade crushed rocks from your regular mining, perhaps, to make concrete. For people who just want to have that concrete look to their base. The machine would require some setup to get the pipes through, but it would emit a lot of useful concrete for building tile and structures!

We already have so many building materials options and almost always more amount than we need. Are you sure you need another? The only exception I would be intrested in are materials with special properties, most notably a material which is super-hard which can hold the pressure of Polluted Water with 1 tile instead of 3 tiles at all tiles (I know of the Air-Flow tile workaround, but I mean a true solid tile). Or with special Heat-Exchange and/or Isolation-properties or which is working to filter, e.g. gases or fluids somehow.

Funny always when I think about this I got reminded of the movie Star Trek 4 with Scotty talking to a Factory-Worker about Transparent Aluminium, which he want to use to hold the Wales in a Tank with a 1-inch material instead of x-inch material.
