spaced out feels... convoluted?
so after finally getting the DLC I've been playing and just feeling like "what am I doing?"

not in the sense that I don't know what to do (maybe a little), but like what am I actually trying to do here?

I can't realistically do more than one build at a time because dupes are stupid and will kill themselves in various ridiculous ways if not watched constantly while working so most of my colonies are just sitting idle burning resources most of the time and there's not really space to do big fun builds on many of the asteroids anyways.

so I get these colonies relatively stable and am just like "ok... so now I... begin the convoluted process of getting to the temporal tear?"

ok... so I've got to get the space materials and make liquid hydrogen and oxygen right?
NOP!
just gotta have a bunch of useless colonies and go charge up the device or w.e and fly into it with pretty much any rocket in the game... so now there's no point to even get space materials other than to do elaborate builds that are even less needed and there's no space for anyways.

maybe I just don't get it?

I kind of share the same feeling.
It feels dodgy to let the dupes unsupervised while attending a new asteroid, let alone several. :meepded:
I do however enjoy the space/rocket part a lot more than in the original game. :Dave_thumb2:

I would like to be able to build those transferring units between all asteroids and the main one so I could automate digging/mining and transportation of those resources straight back to the main base without too many dupes present at any said time.
Unfortunately those pieces of equipment are not (yet?) "buildable".. :steamsad:

On the other hand, I need the dlc to play the Baator mod :steamhappy:

I mean, I like a lot of the stuff that was added, especially the new plants and critters. I always thought klei was going to expand on plants and cooking more in early access but it never happened unfortunately.

and it's kinda neat how the game transitions to logistics of managing resources across colonies. sending cargo around is an interesting twist to management.

but then I get a few little colonies going and it's like "ok, now what?"
as I said, you can't really do anything with them because there's no space so then you just go activate the device and win the game without even needing to touch half of the tech?!
