Plz give us the ability to get rid this stupid pink exclamation mark on my game?

it is very distraction and i find it difficult to play cause this thing wants me to link my steam and is trying to FORCE me to by sitting on my screen 24/7. i cant play with it thr. adhd and ocd on disability, before haters hate

It's a tiny exclamation mark that takes up less than 0.03% of the screen's area at 75% UI size.

Doesn't bother you doesn't mean doesn't bother someone else, give 'em a little slack to be different from you. I know people make lame excuses to whine about things ... but sometimes it's legitimate. In this case, others have already raised the issue so it's not like this is only a problem for one person.

I don't have an issue with it personally, but i do agree it would make sense for them to have an option after you've clicked on it the first time to disable future alerts/the exclamation mark, in case somebody did not want to be involved with the blueprints or whatever.

What's even worse, you click on it to go get your supposed blueprints or whatnot, then you have to register at Klei website, or link your Steam acct. etc. Ok done, but there is nothing to get, no "drop" etc that I could find..... and the exclamation mark is still there! Whatever this new thing is it's not very user friendly and has no purpose at all that I could find, except to get you to register at their site.

We had issues with players not knowing how to find their blueprints in previous updates so we tried to make them easier to find.
The result ended up being that it made some people feel like we were pushing people toward the Supply Closet, so we are removing the notification from the main menu and the <!> from the icon in-game as well.

If you go into your game options, you can turn off "Data Sharing". That will turn off the notification and grey out the button at the top left of the game as well as notifications in the main menu.

It also completely disables the drop system, but I'm fine with that.

New skins is neat, but I'm really not interested in something that requires I register an account. The nags and notifications were getting very annoying, so it's good we've got a way to turn it off.
