There is another way, though. Instead of having your dupes load stuff into the loader, have autosweepers do it instead. Set up autosweepers wherever stuff is (with manual loading off) and they'll put it into the loader and send it to your base.
Near my farms I have load points that end in the walk in freezer. To prevent an infinite loop the cook is not allowed to enter this part of the base.
Basically the success or failure of my delivery system is about door controls and not the actual shipping system.
I don't know why that didn't occur to me, but wow did it free up a lot of dupe time compared to having dupes run everything back to the base (or even to a conveyor loader like I wanted to do).
