Water + Sucrose to make Nectar?

Anyone know if this is possible? Googling it just gives me info about the Bonbon tree. I play survival, and am not at a stage where I can really experiment.

So does anyone know if you can mix water and sucrose to get nectar?

You can always mamually save your game and then enable sandbox mode in game options. After experiments finished you just load your save.
