Best use for wood?

I have 450 tons of wood, and I am not quite sure what to do with it. I dont need power from it and it is filling up all my storage.

Storage should be no problem if you use ''infinite storage'' method for solid materials.
But other than that, outside Frosty DLC, you can just convert it to Ethanol and grow Nosh Sprouts if you are up to the challange.
[Also, I forgot you can convert 100kg Wood into 50kg Refined Carbon, which you use for Steel or making Diamond with Diamond Press]

If you happen to use Frosty DLC then growing Plume Squash with Ethanol from Wood.

I'll also say that Ethanol has a low freezing point, so it's great for temperature regulation. This should be helpful when growing said nosh beans.

I just made a massive 10kg/s ethanol machine, am making a diamond press because you can turn wood into refined carbon, and putting those diamonds into the ancient specimen to get free resources.

wood in ethanol, then use it for petroleum generator (it works with ethanol too) then you got huge quantity of energy "free".

Also, in this process u will get polluted dirt, polluted water and carbon dioxide too.
Polluted Dirt > Normal dirt
Polluted water > arbor tree or other
Carbon diox > slicksters or other, likely water into polluted water with the depurator

Best use for wood?

It depends on what you're lacking as wood can be turned into quite a lot of things.
Half of that can be turned into refined carbon, or 3/6 ethanol+2/6 pDirt+1/6 co2 - ethanol which can be further processed into 3/8s pH2O while the pDirt can be composted, fed to pokeshells/sage hatches or sublimated for O2/clay (or converted to liquid oxygen).
