No vent/geyser

are some maps without any renewable resource?

I have not found any steam vent or other kind of geyser.

I am at 209 cycle dig a lot in every direction, nothing so far..

I am new to the game and the map is the default one

No, all maps have at least a few vents or geysers. If you are new, well, you'll learn to recognize the base of 4 neutronium tiles as an indicator.

The default map never has modifiers, so there should always be the same amount of geysers. As the other guy said, you can tell buried geysers by the neutronium tiles on the bottom. They tend to be a different temperature than their surroundings, so you might be able to spot them better in the temperature overlay. There should be uncovered geysers as well though. Are you sure you're looking for the right thing? Most geysers are cowpie-like structures and most vents are stalks with a honeycomb structure on top.

Do you have the Spaced Out DLC? If you do, make sure you start in Classic mode for your first game.

You can also check the fog for, like Cswiger said, the 4 neutronium tiles, and if you don't mind "cheating" a little, you can use the priority tool to set the things that are in fog to yellow alert and check the top left to see what type of geyser/vent they are.
