For instance, you could have 3 landing pads by the edge of the buildable area on an asteroid that has metal volcanoes (far away from the edges), so you keep the rocket platforms spread out but connected by using port extensions then place your row of solid cargo loaders in a location way closer to the middle of the asteroid.
