I think it went down some time ago; at least several months. I recently started to play ONI (really only got into it properly a couple of days ago), and that was one of the first websites I kept finding links to all over the Internet as I did my research. It stuck in my head because it was not there every time.

I even Googled for reddit posts about it being gone, and I did find one on the ONI subreddit from a few months ago that said it wouldn't be coming back because the person running it abandoned the project.

EDIT:
I found it; this is where I read that it was likely dead. It was the most recent information that I could find about TNI, and I was a little disappointed because it sounds like it had been useful and I wanted to try it. :-/

That's a darn shame - it really made finding maps all the easier. I'm pretty picky as to what I do/do not what to have in my asteroid, so it took out a lot of guesswork.

It will be back soon.
And it is not a map generator but seed browser. Players have to upload map, let it be analysed and then details are available.
