Heat damage on insulated pipes??

Hey,

I had good water system in my base. Then I started to prepare for future heat problems, so I started replacing regular sandstone pipes into granite and sandstone insulated pipes. Now, the base is full of insulated pipes that take heat damage randomly?? Liquid inside is like 22C and surrounding material is 24C. What is happening here? Bug?

The fact that they're insulated pipes doesn't protect them from overheat damage. It's all about the materials you build them out of.

I'm not sure what the overheat temp of granite pipes is though. You might want to check that. 22c seems pretty low to me.

I was getting this bug myself pipes at 30c and getting heat damage, i just removed them and put them down again and they were fine. kinda annoying though
