Maybe you should and check what happens then.
A hatchling becomes a hatch for instance. If your other space is just for hatches, the hatchlings will not get moved until they have grown up.
1. Dupe with Rancher skill (but wearing Farmer II hat).
2. Closed-off room, but dupe had permission to enter.
3. Room had a drop-off station, which had been checked-enabled for ALL critters.
4. Priority of drop-off station had been set to 7.
5. Baby creature had been spawned from Printer Pod, and immediately manually clicked "Wrangle" and priority set to 7.
6. Just about every other priority in the base is always at default/5.
7. Priorities screen for the Farmer-Rancher Dupe had both of those set to "Very High" (proximity also happens to be set).
8. Using current stable/main build of game; not a beta branch build.

Stupid mineral asteroid...
