F8 can help you figure out which things give positives and negative bonuses. I hang pictures pretty much any place my workers are going to be moving or hanging out or even sleeping. The stress will literally fall away as long as they are in the area doing things.
Some materials give a bonus to decor so use those for building once you get enough ( i.e. granite, etc.)
Stay away from heavy wiring, it is a decor killer unless you absolutely need it.

As long as the deco spread is high, the stress will naturally drop but there are things that increase the stress gained. Examples are: food quality below their standards, soggy feed/body, cant breath, low deco.
You'll still want a massage table or two in case dupes spend a long time swimming in polluted water or hanging around heavy wiring but for the most part stress will never be an issue.
