One of my dupes is a "glowstick"?

Just bought the DLC the other day, first time really playing with it, so I know very little about radiation. One of my starting dupes has the glowstick trait, which means they are emitting radiation (94 rads per cycle) naturally.

I thought it was neat, didn't think much of it, but on day 2 a message popped up saying one of the other starting dupes is absorbing too much radiation, and it could cause issues.

The message is gone now, but is this something to be worried about?

i saw that trait and passed on the dupe. was like, yeah... that can't be a positive.

Day 16 nothing bad has happened yet, all I can say. She does glow at night, needed a separated sleep area though

Too bad the glow isn't intense enough or large enough to affect solar panels by any useful means, could be an interesting way to make use of sleeping dupes.

IK its a necro but its good info for others. They are super efficient as long as you can manage the rads to other dupes, They do all jobs 15% faster, even peeing! Also. dupes pee away their radiation! I'm doing a "glowing ghoul" run where everyone is a glowstick and it's fantastic.

Not a fan of the glowstick trait. Radiation eater on the other hand is something else. Almost complete immunity to radiation with that in place and as well as that they get some calories just standing in radiation. If you have a duplicant with both glowstick and radiation eater somehow that may be beneficial to the dupe, but not to everyone else.

Glowstick is the best trait for a dupe that's also nyctophobic. The problem fixes itself.
