Pacu will attempt to find their way to water. They can move horizontally, and can drop down open shafts, and they know where the water is, so they'll seek it out if there's an available path.
For Slicksters, you can wait for them to lay an egg, and then relocate the egg wherever you want. They'll usually survive in comfortable dupe temperatures for long enough, it's not that far outside of their livable range and it takes a long time for them to cool off (though beware of Longhairs). I'm pretty sure they can also be auto-wrangled by critter dropoff settings, without needing a trap.
