I cant get the liquid filter to work

I got the liquid filter set to filter poluted water. I got intake going to white arrrow and out take going to green arrow. For some reason it wont filter the poluted water. It gets stuck. What does the yellow arrow mean in the middle of the filter?

You need to connect a pipe to the orange filter part. Thats your output with selected liquid. The green one outputs everything else. Probably.

Is there 3 connections to the liquid filter? I tryed placing it on the orange but now says no liquid outtake.

There is a white one on the left. Middle is orange. Green is on the right. Very confusing.

Is it true that you cant make clean water using this liquid filter?

Yes, three connecting pipes. One input and two output.
It only filters liquids like clean water and polluted water that are mixed for example.
You need the water sieve to clean polluted water.

liquid filter is used for when you have a mix of clean and polluted water.
works the same as the gas filter. if you know how that works you know how to do it.

All the videos on youtube are showing that you can clean water with the liquid filter. They must be outdated. I dont even see water sieve.

Be careful when using this as this doesn't remove the germs in the water. Duplicants will get sick if you dump the "clean" water to your main water supply.

There's 4 types of water

Clean
Clean with germs
Polluted
Polluted with germs.

The first two types are "drinkable" the most usable.

You will need to heat the water up to remove all germs and then dump it to the water supply. This is a bit mid to late game. I use 3 water tanks for this.
