Why arent my dupes picking up polluted water (sweeping)

They are sweeping everything else BUT polluted water, my shelter is starting to get contaminated, Yes I have more than enough storage

bottles dont get into storage, you have to empty them somewhere with the bottle emptier

You need a Bottle Emptier with Polluted Water selected. Be vary on how you manage priority, they might not be able to sweep sooner as well.

Build a bottle emptier over a basin of sorts. Set the building priority to 9. I believe sweeping polluted water is a 'Store' Errand. That is really important as you prioritize your dupes. If it isn't a 'Storing' errand it is a 'Supply' errand. They have made dupe prioritization confusing on purpose. Just wait until you have freshly cooked food lying around that never gets put away because 'Storing food' believe it or not, is a 'Supply' errand. If you prioritize a dupe to always run supply errands they will run sandstone to ladders and all kinds of funky things you don't want from them. It is kind of the proverbial carrot on a stick they have stuck in the game. Pretty sad considering the rest of the game is high grade. But specializing each dupe at this point is actually completely impossible.

Just like dealing with storing Slime, the Duplicant need to set Storing to be Very High or High. But it will also ask them do unnecessary storing.

Using Sweep command will bring the errand to Tidying (and Supply?). However what I do is to simply ignore the contaminated bottle and let Deodorizer clean the Oxygen. Then focus on building plumbed Washroom asap. Even if you empty the P.water asap, there isn't much to do with them in early game. When you already done Washroom, there would be less emptying to do.

My whole thing is "set it and forget it". And yes, the sweep command is both a 'tidy' priority and a 'supply' priority.

I'm gonna build an auto sweeper above my grills with the fridge in between. This way I won't be stuck micromanaging the errands.
