Melting rust into iron

I have 1000t of rust. It's only use is in rust deoxidizer to create oxygen, however it requires power and so does desalinator to get steady income of salt from salt water geysers - salt that I would rather spend on table salt. Electrolyzer is far better alternative in regards to oxygen production as it also produces about 250W of power per electrolyzer.

This made me thinking - rust changes into liquid iron at 1500C. I have minor volcano that outputs on average 640 g/s of magma at 1730C, but this would allow me to consume only ~100 g/s of rust, so it would take 10k cycles to use all the 1000 tons I have.

I have built a conveyor rail loop underneath the rocket engine, but after landing and launch, rust's temperature is only 500C.

I have frozen core, so no magma at the bottom of the map.

Are there any other ways to make something useful with rust?

If you need chlorine in a pinch I suppose, or you run out of water on the map.
