When can we expect steam cloud?
It is kind of the reason I can't enjoy this game. I switch between devices very often and I just want to be able to continue playing where I was without moving saves. Please at add steam cloud support.

This game doesn't have Steam cloud support? Strange, if I disconnect from the internet due to my computer going to sleep then I try to launch the game immediately upon waking it up it gives me a warning that it cannot access the Steam cloud and asks if I still want to continue playing.

You may not have it enabled. Right click on the game and go to Properties->Updates. There is a checkbox at the bottom to Enable Steam Cloud synchronization.
It has Steam Cloud. It just does not store anything on it.
Ah, well that would make a difference. :/
when can we auto sync saves to cloud
You can do this yourself with a cloud service like Dropbox or Google Drive. I've done this with more games than I can count.

Locate where a particular game stores its saves.. The easiest way is to check pcgamingwiki.

Once you know where to find it, before you do anything else... BACK UP THAT FOLDER! In case you make a mistake along the way, you don't want to lose your progress.

Start this process on you whatever machine you consider to be your main... Whatever you play the game the most on.

Now, rather than post the full tutorial, follow this one on instructables. I only wish it emphasized the importance of making a backup first.

https://www.instructables.com/id/Syncing-Your-Game-Saves-Using-a-Cloud-Service/

The gist is, you're going to move that folder to Dropbox or Google Drive.. Etc.. Each service has its own synced master folder on your pc. Within that folder make a new one for save games.. Then move ONI's save folder there. Yes MOVE not copy.

Then you're going to create a symbolic link of that folder to back to its original location.. This essentially creates a stub of sorts in the original location that points to the new cloud sync'ed folder. Sort of like a shortcut.

Now, repeat this process on another machine with one difference... You will need to either just delete or rename your original save folder (back it up as well though... Just rename it something like saves_old). This is because the folder you did this with on the first machine should already exist on your cloud service and if you try to move THIS save folder to the cloud you will overwrite the one you sync'ed originally.

Now you can repeat the process of creating symbolic links to link the sync'ed folder from your cloud service, to the save game location on the second machine.

Repeat for how many devices you game on provided your not crossing platforms... PC to Mac to Linux... Unless you know for a fact they all have compatible save formats/filenames.
