Getting Lime?

I feel, that i can never get enough lime for producing steel.
Using egg shells is way to slow. And there is not much fossils in the oil biome.

I agree, you really have to set up an intense farm to do so, i found shine bugs work great for this purpose

hmm, not sure if it's just my map seeds but ever since they updated the artwork on the fossils there seems to be a lot more of it down below.

Clearing out the oil biome provides a lot of fossils for lime production. This last map I didn't bother farming egg shells and went straight for fossils. There was plenty of lime for steel.
